How Hannah’s Purse Began
I began this journey on the streets of LA during 2020. Alongside several others who joined me to serve hot meals under city bridges, I met a woman living in the shadows. When we offered her a bag of hygiene essentials, her joyful dance of gratitude shook me to the core. With the help of my dedicated team, I have been providing supplies ever since. To reach more neighbors, Hannah's Purse became a nonprofit in 2026 to ensure everyone feels truly valued.
Our Mission & Values
We are dedicated to restoring dignity for low-income and homeless women and children across Los Angeles by providing essential items that many families struggle to afford.
Hygiene Kits
Restoring personal comfort through essential kits containing soap, shampoo, deodorant, and feminine products.
Clothing & Food
Providing the basics that ground us: clean, warm clothing and nourishing meals for families in transition.
Diapers & Baby Items
Supporting mothers with diapers, wipes, and toiletries to ensure the youngest among us are safe and dry.
Our Journey So Far
2020
In 2020, I served hot meals and shared hygiene items on the Los Angeles streets and under bridges.
2021
Joined by a growing team of supporters, I expanded the effort to deliver hygiene kits, clothing, and food batches to local shelters and individual women living on the streets.
2022
As my outreach grew, I began working with others to reach more shelters and moms, providing diapers, wipes, and infant essentials.
2023
By 2025, with the help of others, I had supported many women and families through shelters and street outreach, leading to Hannah's Purse becoming a nonprofit in 2026.
2024
Hannah's Purse continues to grow, moving toward establishing a permanent community space to provide even more dignity and support.
